Tarkovsky belongs in the pantheon of European art cinema that influenced Woody Allen. The blatant narcissism in this film is explicit in many of Allen's films. But unlike Allen who is a comedian, Tarkovsky had no interest in helping the audience follow the story.
This film is so fucking long even for Martin, and like a documentary with that narration. In the end, all of them are either getting older or whacked, but money still flows back to home, it kinds remind me of that phrase "Money is a bitch that never sleeps."
